S ince 1995 Sport & Collection, which takes place at the circuit du Val de Vienne (South of Poitiers, near A10 Paris-Bordeaux motorway), has stood out as a not-to-miss event for owners of racecars, sports cars and classic cars of all ages and makes - including numerous Ferrari. Proceeds from Sport & Collection go to the Cancer Research Unit of Poitiers Hospital which has received a total donation of €1.44 million over the past 14 years, including €220,00 in 2008.
S ome 1,000 cars are expected to attend the 2009 Sport & Collection Lexsi (June 5-7). Highlights of the 15th anniversary event will be the "500 Ferrari against Cancer" gathering, a tribute to mark Bugatti's centenary celebrations, Le Mans 24 Hours line-ups from the 1950-1965 and 1966-1980 periods, an array of classic competition cars, an F1 parade (including Massa's 2006 Ferrari) and a grid of Supercars and GTs, etc.
S port & Collection features a packed programme of 30-minute parades - not races - which follow on from each other throughout the three days, including night-time action on the Friday evening.

M ore than 1,000 classic cars, racecars and GTs of all periods will be on display in the paddock areas open to the public.

A non-competitive rally will also be organised on the Saturday, giving participants a chance to tour the southern part of the picturesque Vienne region.
